Annual Dinner, 2nd February

Another new venue this year in Kirkcaldy but a good turn out. A couple of walking or at least limping wounded. Keep the rubber side down this year lads and lasses.

Scottish Section Camping Weekend, Berwick 22 - 24 June

Some changes this year as we went- to England. We camped in the grounds of the Salutation Inn on the Berwick Coldstream road, coutesy of Dave Raeburn's organisation.

The hospitality and food at the Inn were excellent. The company as ever was good but the weather left a lot to be desired. We only arrived on the Saturday and the Ajay then blotted its copy book. First of all, when we left the Jim Clark memorial room we had a puncture. The Border roads seem to be quite bad for punctures probably due to thorns from hedge trimming. Anyway I had the tools to repair the tube and thanks to Bridge End Garage, Duns who supplied a puncture kit and allowed use of their air line. Wet and dirty we trundled back to the campsite and an excellent dinner.

Next day the plan was just for a short run into Berwick market but the Ajay was not playing and, for some reason, lost its sparks. I then burst the mag pickup, already hardened by heat of the exhaust. At that we gave up, chucked the bike on the trailer and I crawled into the passenger seat and let my wife drive home as my sore leg - the curling injury - had stopped me sleeping all night.
