Jampot 2012 Kelso go to www.jampot2012.co.uk or go to links section

We reviewed progress on the Kelso Rally. The band for the Saturday Night has been selected and booked. We will also explore a Disco and other entertainment for the other evenings. The on-line booking system is now live and working with four bookings taken already. As we have the site for longer than the time of the Rally the booking system will allow booking to be made for the extra nights available.

Steve Glover outlined the runs he has planned and we all thought that they are looking really good. We discussed locations for the Sunday Run and some likely locations were put up for investigation.

June 2011 Notes

Dennis, Scottish Section Chairman, had a good response to the proposed September weekend. We now have 28 interested in attending on the 2/3rd of Sept. If you want to attend you should confirm your place with Dennis now.

Good news - Ivor Ward\'s Bike was returned by the police in good condition, so he has asked me to say that he “loves you all” now that he has his Bike back.

For the 2012 Jampot we\'ve decided to attend the BMF “Bikefest” at Kelso on the 9th July. We will fact find on their set up. We need all the help we can get and if you know the site you\'ll be more help, so put this date in your diary!

One sharp eyed member noticed that the logo for the section Notes is reversed as the brake is on the wrong side of the wheel or is this a “special” model ?

April 2011 News

The Scottish Section Meeting at the Two Bridges had plenty to discuss this month with all the delights of the 2011 season in prospect.

However, we were all sorry to hear about the theft of Ivor Ward\'s AJS 500 single (FSV 948) from his home in Saltcoats. Ivor would be pleased to have any information about its whereabouts so anyone who might see this machine or its parts being offered for sale or being used by someone else should contact Ivor or the police.

The proposed “camping” weekend in early September is at the Spittal of Glenshee Hotel, which offers budget price en-suite accommodation for those of us who like our camping civilised. Dennis Jackson is going to check availability and firm up the dates. If you are interested in attending pleases let Dennis know as soon as you can as we will need to book accommodation soon.

The “Scottish” Jampot (2012) was on the agenda and we revised our plans and intentions. We all agreed that we really need to “sell” the attractions of the Scottish Borders as it is unlikely that people unfamiliar with the area will know just how great the runs are and what a beautiful area the Borders are.
